The Google Earth mapping website is arguably the most complete and sophisticated products of its kind.
Using Google Earth requires a client software component be installed on your computer, you can download it HERE . It's about 12.5 MB in size. Once it's installed, you can fly around the globe and see everything from a bird's eye view.
TopoZone is a great site for professional and recreational map users.
