A professional designer does not have a conflict of interest, he works for you to capture your vision and translate it into the physical reality of your new home. Your contractor may try to cut corners, or might use inferior products to increase his profit, or perhaps reuse a pre-designed home modified to fit your site.

In our experience, most building departments will not accept mail order plans or plan book home designs  without extensive modifications. Such modifications usually must be done by a drafting service or engineer at additional cost to you.

Your new home will most likely be your largest investment. At Jake's, your home designer will work with you to customize your new home specifically for your needs, to fit your vision.
